Ellingham Hall, Northumberland
righto chaps. this is a wedding right . . .
well, not quite.
Bryony and Kyle were married a little earlier this year in Canada.
Bryony kindly asked me if I could pop over to Canada to photograph her wedding,
and whilst that wouldn't be a problem . . . I had other weddings booked, so I couldn't do it.
well - to cut a long story short - Bryony and Kyle, married on a mountaintop inCanada,
then returned to the U.K and hired Ellingham Hall for a weekend,
in order to have a party for those family and friends who couldn't make it to the wedding in Canada,
besides - it's a good excuse to get into the dress again . . .
and that's what I'm photographing here . . . . read on . . .

Bryonys mum and dad pose for a picture -
coincidentally,
Bryony and Kyle appear in the doorway of Ellingham Hall. .
so I slide the camera to the side a little
and get a rather meaningful background into mum n' dads pic . .

random guests spot the same thing . well, they spot the couple in the doorway
and immediately fire off papparazzi style. hey ho.

a wedding aint a wedding without champagne . . . .

guests spot this - and oddly enough - a barrage of paparrazzi open fire again.

heck - if everybody else is getting a picture of them - I might as well have a go too.

inside - in the relative cool of Ellingham Halls interior - lurks a cake
there was a story to this cake . .
something about simultaneous birthdays and anniversaries or something like that.
but I'm just a bloke - so my memory for such things is terrible.
you'll just have to guess the hidden significance of the cake . . . or make something up . .

ah - we go play with mirrors.

we need to make a picture of Bryony that looks like a fashion magazine
why ? because we want to - that's why.
so we proceed to do just that.

Kyle is never too far away and immediately hops across to grab his girl.

yes - it's mirrors again. this is developing into a theme isn't it.

I tend to have gotten hooked on the mirror theme - but hey - the pictures look good, so why not.

more mirrors are located . . this is turning into a hunt the mirror at Ellingham Hall game . .

at last - above - a picture without a mirror in it.
hold it . . . whats that behind Kyle ?
wouldn't be a glass reflective thing would it ?

this is what Kyle was looking at in the picture above.
she looks rather good doesn't she !
anyway - Bryony now points out that Ellingham Hall has peacocks
and she'd quite like one in a picture
I immediately think that she's joking . . have you ever tried to capture a peacock ?
would you suggest a rugby tackle ?
then plant the bird somewhere sensible and have the couple pose next to it ?
doh.
OK I mumble . . .
grumble grumble . . .
you have no idea at all how difficult this is going to be . . .
Bryony and Kyle then stride off confidently in the direction of the nearest peacock,
I stride after them - a little less confidently . . .
however, with a bit of wiggling about and coaxing we got the pictures - the results are below.

below - Bryony grabs a welcome piece of shade - this being a hot day,
meanwhile . . guests are running about playing croquet and consuming drinkies.

ooh - we can take some pictures indoors again . . . says Bryony.
OK then.
Kyle looms - or maybe lurks, in the picture above.
(he's probably been on a looming and lurking course)

with Kyle still lurking about - Bryony shows off her dress.

back outdoors - this really is a scorching hot day.
we've taken a walk across the grass -
and two little dogs are in the picture,
they're Bryonys beloved pets.

ok - we can do a close up.

even closer . .

a final picture.
I was wandering off to my car,
when I glanced towards the door -
a car had just zoomed away up the drive, leaving a cloud of dust.
(which you can just see as a soft area above and in front of Bryonys head).
it was simply a picture of Bryony and Kyle walking towards the doorway . .
and
it all looked a bit dreamy.
click. got it.
thank you Bryony and Kyle for a lovely day.
