flowers
there's a connection here.
yep.
wedding pressies
bouquets
all lead us to
the bride . . .
Claire
who makes a guest appearance below,
technical assistance
(above Claires head)
provided by Claires hairdresser.

<< The lady to the left is Zoe Breen, from
'Hands on at Hexham, Beauty and Holistic Therapy centre' (PLUG PLUG)
apparently she saved the day by whizzing into action when another (nameless) makeup lady failed to show up.
She has something of a hypnotic gaze.
so fellers . . .don't look - she'll get you to do all sorts of things.
(unless you want to, that is . . . . . . )
The guys assemble in the Great Hall.
having nothing to do
with the bridesmaids' synchronised manouevres,
they stand about in a manly fashion
and share smiles as the wedding approaches
An absolute stack
(absolute stack being the technical term for 'a lot')
of candid pictures were produced at this wedding.
I'm swerving towards using more and more pure black and white these days
(monochrome if you're into big words)
It might be fashion, my age, or just some sort of taste evolving.
however, I think that black and white has a purity about it that is really hard to match.

The merry throng
then frolicked below the photographer
who, in order to take this picture,
balanced neatly on only one toe
precariously placed on a second storey window ledge.
Such heroic deeds
are simply part of my humble life.
anything to please a Bride.
However, I refuse to take pictures on a ledge,
with the window closed behind me.
there is a limit . . .
One guest, stood around too long when the pressies were being wrapped & ended up gift wrapped with a bow on her head.

This lady is blissfully
unaware of the alien lifeform
which is busy attacking her head from the rear.
aaaaaaaaaagh. . .
seriously -
I think that ladies hats are absolutely great fun.
please don't think
me odd -
but I even think that girls look quite sexy in them . . .
(I'd best leave that topic . . . . . .)

ye olde receiving
line, held at Matfen
in the ante room to the dining room.
I'm using general terms here
because for the
life of me I can't remember
the real name of the dining room.
Terrace room ?

Hen party evidence
is revealed to the world . . .
it must have been a heck of a night -
judging by the reaction on this girls face !
<< Everyone knows where to find one one of these
They're quite harmless
and can provide endless hours of entertainment . . . .
Yes, . I'm talking about that hat of course

We now find that
Danield and Claire
are fast approaching the camera . . .
Ah she floats as
if in a dream
this somewhat haunting image
is a simple trick of focus.
Daniel is in focus
Claire is not.
OK - that didn't take a lot of working out.
but it's a good effect though.
well . . .I think so anyway . . .

A very simple and elegant cake lurks to the right
(and above too)
decorated in an
equally simple and elegant fashion
with lilies.
this matches Claires bouquet.
very very tasteful
and probably very
very tasty too.
I always think that it's a shame to carve these cakes up to eat them since
so much love goes into their design.

Above we see Matfens
windows
reflected in a detail picture
which shows the wineglasses
waiting patiently on the tables,
to the left, we see the glasses in action.
a really happy smile on mums face tells a story.
she's all at once,
proud, content, adoring,
oh I run out of words,
the picture says it all
that's what pictures are for isn't it !
A rather famous
bottleneck appears,
this immediately causes a traffic jam near to the champagne flute junction.
Bridesmaids pour
the bubbly,
then everyone smiles.
(you'll just have
to imagine that -
cos I'm not showing you a picture of it)
Aforementioned
Bridesmaids
in identical garb and headgear
carry out synchronised
pressy unwrapping manouevres,
deft fingerwork,
might no doubt be complicated by
the contents of the bottle above . . .
Hah - caught you
out,
the wedding came and happened as planned.
all parties involved
then zoomed out of the doorway
and had several pictures taken on the lawn
(as one does).
I much prefer informal
pictures
(as I think, do Claire and Daniel),
but - hey - gotta keep the relatives happy . .
Nothing alien about that pint,
I could murder one.
Guess who this is >>>>>
yep . . you guessed it.
Daniel looks proud doesn't he !
so he should be
. .
isn't she lovely !
