Just as they'd promised, the guys were on the scene early.
What a happy bunch of geezers.
they were a pleasure to encounter.
The beaming grin gives away the fact that we have a man about to be wed here.

Places to go to - people to see - the suited squad rounding the bend (beer in hand of course)

the custodian of the rings reveals his magic box.
(sounds like a something from lord of the rings)

Joanne arrives a little early - not a problem - it just means that the car has to park around the corner.
Your friendly photographer
then leaps around the bend along with his cameras,
and makes use of a neatly posed car in order to get a picture of Joanne and
her father

The service is
now ongoing,
the registrar is quite human and allows me access
to a position which gives an up the nostril view of the ushers.
hey - I'm happy
with this - crouched on the floor - no one can see me (I think).

Following the wedding
the family pictures ensue.
we do these in
a minimal amount of time
so as not to spoil everyones enjoyment of the day

An atmospheric picture is taken of the detail on the back of Joannes bodice.
(the bodice was quite unaware that this picture was being taken).

Gals just can't keep their hands off this guy !
I must point out
that absolutely no rude bits were
groped in this groping session.
(although that is rather a big smile on Matthews face !)

Confetti - needs no caption . .
oh - that's a caption isn't it . . . .
drat.

A parting shot . . .
after the meal, the customary entertainment is
SPEECHES !
here - some guests
from the rear of the room
rearrange the seating plan in order to get a
good view of the action.
(it was a warm
day - they sat outside the french doors
and applauded the speeches from the patio !)
My sometimes mad
sense of humour tempted me to make this
a picture of a row of bottoms.
but I have the
occasional burst of sanity -
and the huge
risk of causing offence stopped me.
It would have loooked good though . .

yes - it's Whitworth
-
so there are deer about !
never work with children or animals - they're so darned cute !

We're on a bit
of a roll now -
so we take some pictures by the lake.
hey - why not - I'm pretty quick at taking pictures - so there isn't really any inconvenience.
it's fun anyway - and Matthew seems to be having a good time.
Joanne locates
a totally wacky greenhouse .
ok it does help to make rather a good picture.

Matthew is persuaded to stand quietly in the doorway as Joanne shows him her dress !

Oh yes - and there was this spectacular veil thing. . . .

Not content with
deer,
Joanne and Matthew
start a complete wildlife safari . .
next stop . . .swans.
I'm frightened
of lions and stuff like that so if they come up with anything that looks more
savage than a deer -
I'll be taking steps.
big ones . . .in the opposite direction.
some dispute arises
as to exactly what height one is supposed to hold a bouquet at
there's nothing written down anywhere about it . .
so the girls just have to guess . . .
some of the deer obligingly pose for a picture.
we politely ask
the deer
to form an orderly group
behind Joanne and Matthew.
not too far away
we suggest -
but in a perfect position in order for us to also get a picture of Whitworth
in the background.
the deer - being polite and helpful creatures, do just as we ask . . .

This couple just seem to want to have fun.!
I can't complain
the more fun they have,
the better the pictures -
the happier I get.

I shamelessly took a picture here,
cos the sign above the door says Whitworth Hall.
There's a risk of this picture being a bit too 'obvious',
but hey - they might want to remember the place . .
I would.
